WHAT IS IT?
Postpartum is any time after having a baby, and that means any time. One hour after birth or twenty years later, your body still went through one of the most physically demanding things a human can experience. The six week clearance doesn't mean you're recovered. It means you're cleared. There's a big difference. We work with women at any stage of postpartum who still don't feel like themselves and were never given the tools to get there.
common symptoms and signs
low back pain or pelvic pain that never fully resolved
core weakness or a feeling of instability through the middle
leaking with jumping, running, sneezing, or laughing
pain or pressure in the pelvic region
hip pain or tightness that showed up during or after pregnancy
diastasis recti (abdominal separation) affecting strength and function
feeling disconnected from your core no matter how much you train
pain with returning to exercise or activity
Who is a good fit?
you're someone who wants to understand what's going on in your body and actually do something about it. We work best with people who are ready to be an active part of their recovery, not just lie on a table and hope for the best.

Book an appointment and we'll figure out what's going on and how to fix it.
why does this happen?
Postpartum affects every person who has given birth, regardless of how the birth went, how fit you were going in, or how long ago it was. Pregnancy shifts your center of gravity, changes how your core and pelvic floor function, and puts enormous demand on your joints and connective tissue. Then you're handed a six week clearance and sent on your way with no real roadmap for getting your body back.
Most women we see are months or years out and still dealing with things they were told would just resolve on their own. The leaking, the core weakness, the back pain that never quite went away. It didn't resolve because nobody addressed it. That's what we're here for.
how we treat it
We start with a movement exam to assess how your core and pelvic floor are currently functioning and where the gaps are. From there treatment focuses on relearning deep core engagement and activation — most postpartum women have lost the connection to those muscles and don't realize it. We progressively build strength through the pelvic floor and the muscles that support it, including the hips and glutes, in a way that actually translates to real life. Picking up your kids, running, lifting, getting back to the things you love without leaking or pain or feeling like your core is held together with nothing.
